Saturday Night Live Meeting

Saturday Night Live is Closed Discussion Service Meeting for those with a desire to stop drinking.

Each week we split into three rooms:

  • Big Book Discussion – Where we read and discuss passages from the A.A. book “Alcoholics Anonymous”.
  • Newcomers Discussion – Where we read and discuss Steps 1, 2, or 3 from the A.A. book “12 Steps and 12 Traditions”.
  • Came to Believe Discussion – Where we read and discuss passages from the A.A. book “Came to Believe”. We also read and discuss passages from the book “24 Hours a Day”.

We encourage you to come early for Coffee and Fellowship (and sometimes a few treats) before the meeting. After the meeting, there are normally a few of us who go out for coffee (or ice cream in warmer weather) and more fellowship.

Saturday Night Live is a nice meeting for those who are new to the A.A. program of recovery, and those who may be home for the weekend from local treatment centres.

In addition to newcomers, there are a number of members with longer terms of sobriety who attend Saturday Night Live. These “Long-Timers can identify with the newcomer and offer help to those that are struggling with alcoholism.

Saturday Night Live is located at:

St. Christopher’s Anglican Church – 662 Guelph Line. The church is on the West side of Guelph Line, between Fairview and New Street. The meeting entrance is at the North-West corner of the church with parking on the North side.
